The JLT Novice Chase was a brand new edition to the Cheltenham Festival in 2011 and it will be run over the 2 miles 4 furlongs distance and is Grade 2 listed. It is an excellent new race to the week at Cheltenham and it will attract plenty of class horses as it falls between the 2 mile Arkle Challenge trip and the 3 mile RSA Chase distance. This will ensure a high quality field with plenty of horses falling in between those trips whilst it should also maintain the quality of both the Arkle and RSA Chase fields.
JLT Novices Chase Odds
The field at this stage is looking strong and we should see all the major yards having a strong hand in this one as expected. It will be the 27th race of the Festival and will be the first race on World Hurdle day on Thursday, it should be a great way to get the action under-way for punters and gives the whole week a big boost. The JLT Novice Chase Odds are already starting to hot up and there is plenty of value on offer for shrewd punters at this stage.
JLT are the new sponsor of the race having previously been sponsored by Jewson since its inception in 2011, but the race will keep its position on Thursday at the Festival.
