One of last seasons top staying Hurdlers Time For Rupert, will go Chasing this season according to trainer Paul Webber ahead of a tilt at the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival in 2011. Time For Rupert was runner-up in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at last years Festival behind Big Bucks, but he will embark on a season over the fences starting off at the Open meeting at Cheltenham in November. Where he goes next will depend on how he goes in his debut race over the bigger obstacles but already in the back of connections mind is the 3 mile RSA Chase.
Time For Rupert was the only horse who managed to get even close to Big Bucks last season, and while he never looked like beating the winner in the World Hurdle he was always in touch and has to be a real prospect over Fences. The bookmakers have taken note of this news with Time For Rupert installed as third favourite in the ante post RSA Chase Odds, he looks to be one to watch in this market along with the likes of Reve De Sivola and Mikael Dhaguenet. The RSA Chase is always a competitve race and even with the introduction of a new two and a half mile race the quality should still be of a high standard Day 2 of the 2011 Cheltenham Festival.
