Tiger Roll Is Aiming For Another Famous Grand National Win Today
The Grand National 2019 is finally here with the world's most famous steeplechase now just a matter of hours away.
The eyes of the sporting world will be on Liverpool at 5.15pm as the 40 horses and jockeys take to the start line looking to etch their name into the history of one of the most prestigious events in the world.
Tiger Roll will be the major talking point through the rest of the day as the defending champion returns to the scenes of his most famous triumph with plenty of experts expecting the horse to become the first since Red Rum to win the race in successive years. The Gordon Elliott trained hero was brilliant at Cheltenham last month and although he has a bigger ask this year, the odds will make him the one to beat.
Punters who want to take on tiger Roll have a plethora of options including top weight Anibale Fly who ran a stormer in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Rathvinden, who won the Bobbyjo Chase for Willie Mullins on his last start.
Vintage Clouds would be a popular grey winner and will carry the same colours as previous winners Hedgehunter, Ballabriggs and Many Cloud and the latest market gives him a chance as a horse that finished 3rd in the Scottish National last season.
As well as Tiger Roll, Gordon Elliott has a host of runners in the race today with Jury Duty and Dounikos also fancied for the Irish handler who himself is looking for a famous third success in the Aintree spectacular.
The Grand National odds are second to none for horse racing and with the race looking as competitive as ever, it is shaping up to be yet another thrilling renewal of the race that catches the public attention.
