We are less than two weeks away from the start of the 2012 Cheltenham Festival and some of the major bookmakers are starting to offer some excellent concessions. Paddy Power are one of the first to jump the gun with their Arkle Chase Money Back Special featuring hot favourite Sprinter Sacre. The Nicky Henderson horse is all the rage in the betting for the big race but the Irish bookmaker will refund all losing bets on the race if Sprinter Sacre claims the win. Punters have been impressed with the favourite all season but Paddy Power seem happy to take him on in what could be a pivotal race for the bookmakers and punters on day one of the Festival. A Sprinter Sacre win would be a massive blow for the the bookmakers with Hurricane Fly and Quevega also expected to win as short priced favourites on Champion Hurdle day.
Paddy Power will be hoping that they can get the favourite beaten in the Arkle as they have done over the past couple of years with the likes of Cue Card Card and Dunguib. Both of those horses went into Cheltenham as massive favourites only to get beaten after Paddy Power had offered a money back special. The Arkle Chase is by no means a one horse race this year with two previous Cheltenham Festival winners in Al Ferof and Peddlers Cross set to take on the favourite. Connections of both those horses have been bullish all season and there is no doubt they look the two main threats to Sprinter Sacre in what looks like a fascinating race. There is however no doubt that Sprinter Sacre has been highly impressive this season, he seems to have taken to chasing with ease and is the justified jolly heading into the meeting. Paddy Power are renowned for their Cheltenham money back specials but they seem to have outdone themselves this season as they look to take one of the most talked about horses of the winter.
