There are 35 entries for the 2010 running of the Ladbroke World Hurdle. A closer look at the entries will reveal a number of the possible contenders are already plying their trade over the bigger obstacles. Mighty Man who was runner up in this race in 2007 behind the brilliant Inglis Drever has recently gone novice chasing most likely because his connections think that they can not beat the odds on favourite Big Bucks, the entry of Mighty Man maybe in case the favourite is ruled out of the race.
There is also talk of Diamond Harry turning to fences following his defeat to the Paul Nicholls star stayer in the Long Walk Hurdle. Punchestowns has already waved the white flag following his defeat in this race last season and has made a successful transition to chasing winning on his debut and is currently favourite for the RSA Chase.
Tidal Bay is another interesting entrant for the race, winner of the 2008 Arkle has been disappointing since as his jumping has let him down many times and it is interesting that trainer Howard Johnson has him put in the entries for this race.
Of the entries there are really only a few who make make odds on punters sweat for their money and that maybe Karabak and the progressive Willie Amos-trained Lie Forrit.
