Clan Des Obeaux amongst the bookmaker new customer promotions on Gold Cup day.
If you fancy favourite Presenting Percy to win the 2019 Gold Cup and you're looking to open a new betting account, you're in luck!
The Pat Kelly trained eight year old has been somewhat of an enigma this season, seen once all year running over hurdles in Ireland but his RSA Chase demolition at last year's Cheltenham Festival still lives fresh in the memory for many.
The bookies have been offering enhanced odds for new customers all week, on favourites such as Altior and Paisley Park, punters will be hoping that Presenting Percy will do the business for them.
First up is Paddy Power, who have two offers specific to the Gold Cup. If you're a Percy fan then you can get 50/1 about his chances (he's around 4/1 in the betting market), the caveat being you need to be a new Paddy Power customer and it's a maximum stake of £1. If he were to win you'd get £50 worth of free bets to use at Paddy Power over the next seven days, terms and conditions apply.
Paddy Power have the same offer on one of Percy's chief rivals in the race, Clan Des Obeaux trained by Paul Nicholls. This time the offer is 80/1, again with the same terms as the Percy offer. Paul Nicholls is bidding to win the race for the first time since Kauto Star in 2009 and his fifth win the race. Two winners already this Festival at the time of writing, his King George winner Clan Des Obeaux is one of the market leaders.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup is one of the biggest betting days in the racing calendar and the bookmakers will be clamouring for custom offering an array of new customer free bets and promotions on the race.
If you've already got a Paddy Power account and fancy Presenting Percy, 888Sport are offering 33/1 for new customers. It's an enhanced odds offer to new customers only like the Paddies one, but the max bet here is £5. Once again, the winnings are paid in free bets, but if Percy does the business it's £165 in free bets for your disposal. Check the terms and conditions below for more details.
Betway have been really active on the offer front all week and they've been pushing their promotion of 80/1 on Presenting Percy to win the Gold Cup. A max stake of £1 or €1, you're looking at a £80 return in free bets if Pat Kelly's second season chaser lands the big prize.
Bookmaker SportNation are reasonably new on the scene and they're offering 50/1 about Presenting Percy as their new customer sign up offer. Another with a max stake of £1, your bonus funds will be credited within 24, but you'll have to turnover the winnings seven times within 30 days of the race, at a minimum odds of 1.6.
Bet Victor and Betfair both have offers for new customers that run through the day, so if you were to open an account and bet on the Triumph Hurdle, the first race of the day, they'll give you a free bet to use in each of the following races on day four of the Festival, including the Gold Cup at 3.30pm.
For Bet Victor the qualifying bet is £5 to get £35 in free bets whilst Betfair is a £10 bet on the Triumph to get a free £10 bet on the rest of the ITV races (4 more). Terms for both offers are below.
We'll keep this page updated with any more offers that come in from the bookies in the lead up to Friday's big race. Good luck!!
