Tom Lee is back and as he describes in his Cheltenham Tipster preview of day three of the Festival on Thursday, it's half time, we're behind but lets hope a move to the New Course brings some luck.
After another tough day on Wednesday, Tom's picked out another three tips for Thursday, kicking off with the Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle at 2.10pm.
When you're searching for a winner, a 24 runner handicap hurdle isn't always the best place to start looking but Tom's pretty sweet about he chances of number 20 Samburu Shujaa for Phillip Hobbs. Tom was impressed with the way he won his qualifier at Chepstow earlier in the season and with Champion Jockey Richard Johnson in the plate and for a trainer who is enjoying a much better season this term, the 12/1 available at Bet Victor makes some each way appeal.
In the Ryanair Chase (2.50pm), Tom describes it as the best ever field assembled and goes for an old favourite to roll back the years. Un De Sceaux, who won this race two seasons ago has never finished outside the front two at Cheltenham and will relish the soft going.
There's a short price favourite in Thursday's feature, the Stayers Hurdle at 3.30pm, but Tom thinks there's some each-way value in backing 2017 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle winner Kilbricken Storm for trainer Colin Tizzard. Another who will relish cut in the ground, the 14/1 about his chances with Bet365 looks like being a good bet.
