Trainer Colm Murphy reports that his Brave Inca is in really good form at home and will be rested over the next couple of weeks before training begins again in earnest for the Champion Hurdle in March. Brave Inca, now an 11 year old, lived up to his name and reputation when winning the Irish Champion Hurdle last week at Leopardstown and the stable believe that he has come on really fresh and will run a big race at Cheltenham
Brave Inca has an outstanding record in the race, he won in 2006, was second in 2005 and third in 2007, before injury put him out of training for 18 months.
Murphy deserves the plaudits for his patience in bringing him back this year and he has shown improving form on all his three starts. Punters will know that if Brave Inca is in the picture after they jump the last they can expect a mighty run for their money and at 25-1 or thereabouts he will be an outstanding each way bet to regain the Trophy.
