Bookmakers and punters are ready to lock horns on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival, but before you get stuck into Tuesday's action, which gets under way at 1:30pm with the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, make sure you check out all the latest market movers for what will be a sensational seven-race card from National Hunt Headquarters.
1:30pm - Supreme Novices' Hurdle
Min has been a red-hot favourite for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle for months, but punters are out to get the Willie Mullins-trained hotpot and he is available at around 5/2 with various bookmakers, while Altior has been trimmed into 7/2 with Coral for the festival curtain-raiser, whilst bits and pieces have seen outsiders North Hill Harvey and Penglai Pavilion backed into 25/1 and 33/1, respectively, with Paddy Power.
2:50pm - Ultima Handicap Chase
Pricewise fans would've had to be up early to get some of the 16/1 about The Young Master and Beg To Differ in the Ultima Handicap Chase as the former has now been clipped into a best-priced 14/1 with BetVictor, while the latter is now as short as 10/1 with Betfred for what is a race that has seen pre-race favourite Out Sam ease to 8/1 market leader with bet365. Band Of Blood has attracted support at huge prices and is 25/1 from 33/1 with Coral.
3:30pm - Champion Hurdle
Punters are scratching their heads over the Champion Hurdle market, and Annie Power has eased to 11/4 for the Tuesday showpiece, but there's no strong support for any other of the runners in the blue riband event with The New One as short as 5/1 with Sky Bet, while some each-way punters could be jumping aboard the My Tent Or Yours train, who is 9/1 in places.
4:10pm - David Nicholson Mares' Hurdle
The Mullins four-timer could rest on the shoulders of Vroum Vroum Mag, and the classy mare has been one of the best-backed horses of the day, as having been widely available at 11/10 earlier in the day, she is now a shade of odds-on at 10/11 with Paddy Power, who expect her to maintain Mullins dominance in this race.
4:50pm - National Hunt Chase
Minella Rocco has been friendless in the market over the last few hours, and having been as short as 4/1 a few days ago, Jonjo O'Neill's charge is now 8/1 with Betfred for the National Hunt Chase, and Sky Bet have reported considerable money for Southfield Royale, who is now a clear 6/1 favourite with them for the penultimate race of the day.
5:30pm - Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase
Double Shuffle was available at 14/1 this morning with Betfair for the final race of the day, but he has been handed consistent support all day, and with that same firm is now a 9/1 shot in the Close Brothers Novices' Handicap Chase, which sees Aloomomo a best-priced 6/1 favourite. AP McCoy elected Amore Alato as his nap of the day on the Morning Line, and that raider is now as short as 16/1 with Sky Bet Bookmakers.
