Top class hurdler Bobs Worth has won on his Chasing debut at Newbury to see his RSA price slashed for Cheltenham. The Nicky Henderson horse is already a Festival winner having won the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle last season and many are predicting he could be a star over the bigger obstacles as well. Bobs Worth pipped the excellent Cue Card at Newbury over a trip which was short of his best and with it being only his first start this season, he is sure to improve for the run. It appeared that Bobs Worth stayed the best as expected and a clash with Grands Crus at the Festival in March is a mouthwatering prospect. Nicky Henderson and his string of horses seem to be in tip top form at the moment and that was highlighted by the run of Bobs Worth. Punters can be sure that the trainer will have the horse at his very best at the Festival in March which is a big plus for ante-post backers.
Initially it appeared that the excellent Cue Card would have too much for Bobs Worth at Newbury but such is his stamina that he ran on through the line to take the win. The Novice Chase divisions at two and three miles are looking stronger than ever and Bobs Worth is just another top class hurdler to have taken to the bigger obstacles with the minimum of fuss. Henderson will want to see if Bobs Worth can win at the Cheltenham Festival for the second year-in-a-row and at the moment he is the second favourite in the RSA Chase Odds. It is worth noting that Bobs Worth was in receipt of six pounds from Cue Card at Newbury but there is no doubt it was still a top class performance from a highly progressive horse who has won all but one of his races.
