Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle Betting Preview Shows Several Contenders

Monday 1st March 2010

The 2010 Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle is shaping up to be one of the most open and exciting races of the entire Cheltenham Festival, it looks set to attract a good standard of runners with the race growing in prestige every year. The race is recognised as one of the top races on Day four of the Festival, those long distance hurdlers who just fall short of the World Hurdle standard come into this very competitive renewal. The 2010 betting for the Albert Bartlett is pointing out six horses all with live chances and there is little to choose between any of them.

Tell Massini is one that has impressed this season having won four races on the bounce and goes to the Cheltenham Festival with every chance of picking up the win. He won the Albert Bartlett Novices trial at Cheltenham in December and that course and distance form should stand him in good stead for this one and he may go off as the favourite. Restless Harry is one that has shot towards the top of the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle Odds following an excellent win at Cheltenham at the end of January. He came home well in the Neptune Investment Management Novices Hurdle and looks an exciting prospect, he stayed on really well that day and on that form has to be taken seriously which is backed up by the betting.

Alan King has an excellent runner in The Betchworth Kid who has been attracting a lot of attention this season, Choc Thornton should take the ride in the Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle and he for one has a lot of faith in him. He will want the race to be run at a good clip and if it is then he will have a big chance of taking the win in a strong field. Shinrock Paddy is another with excellent chances as he has shown the ideal form heading into the race, he won last time out at Navan for Paul Nolan in great style and should continue to improve when he turns up at the Cheltenham Festival. He is just another with a chance in what looks a difficult race to call, bookmakers and punters are unsure on a clear favourite which means there is some excellent value on offer.
