Champion Hurdle 2010 Results

The feature race of the day was of course the Champion Hurdle and 12 went to post for an open looking race, Go Native went off as a favourite as he looked for his second Festival win having won the Supreme Novices' last year. Celestial Halo was the early leader with blinkers on for the first time with Zaynar following him at a quick pace with the remainder of the field bunched up with Go Native happy at the back of the field and biding his time.

Celestial Halo was the leader three out with the whole field still in contention and Binocular looking to be travelling particularly well. It was Binocular who took the lead as Celestial Halo faded and Khyber Kim was the only one who was able to go with him as they came up to the last. Go Native never got going and was nowhere to be seen leaving AP McCoy and Binocular storming home to claim a win that was unlikely a couple of weeks ago. He almost missed the race with injury but claimed the win with relative ease ahead of the impressive Khyber Kim with the rest of the field some way back with Zaynar claiming the third place.
